The questions we ask our customers will include the following:
Details of the media, (liquid, gas, vapour etc.)
Pressure (minimum / maximum / differential pressure)
Media temperature
Flow rate required
Connection size and type i.e. 1" BSP, G2 etc.
Is the valve 2 way or 3 way? 2/2 or 3/2
Is the valve to be normally closed or normally open? (is the valve closed or open when the coil is de-energised)

We will also need to know what voltage is available so that the correct coil is selected.
We can also offer various types of electrical connector which can be supplied with a cable gland or moulded cable to any desired length.

With this information it is generally possible to select the correct general purpose solenoid valve.
